![]() Our mail server does allow scanning of zipped attachments, but I agree with you that it is not a desirable extension to whitelist and I may eventually block it. I researched winmail.dat and discovered that it was because of an Outlook issue that was resolved years ago. Most of the requests we get are form senders who don’t know that. We rip the attachment out of the message and insert instructions on how to submit a ticket to have it reviewed and released. With ours, we quarantine messages with bad attachments. We also do not whitelist winmail.dat, This is just a preference, I’m not going to encourage bad outlook practices. We do not get many legit compressed files. Your list looks similar to mine except we do not whitelist zip or other compressed files. ![]()
